Learning Experiences
1. Shoe Box Enviornment: Students will first pick a type of animal, then they will create the animal's enviorment using a shoe box. Inside the box, they will use clay, paper, and other art supplies to create the surroundings that the animal lives in.
2. Class Pet: In the classroom will be a pet (either a lizard, hamster, or turtle). Each week a group of students will be assigned to feed and observe the pet. They will record all information for the week including feeding times and changes of the animal.
3. Web Search: The students will go on the web to search either mammals, reptiles, or amphibians. They will have to find new information that we have not discussed, a video to show the class on the animals, and create posters with pictures and facts that they discovered about the type of animal that they researched.
